  1. HI! Would you be able to give the exact name of the advanced directive assessment Jenna Mele reported in the podcast. She said it could be used to see which side of the bed they get out of, or if a client takes a shirt or pants off first. I could not understand the name of the author that she tried to pronounce. Thanks!

  2. Hi Mandy. Thank you so much for this last podcast. I am a new grad OTR, who was practicing as an assistant for 12 years before becoming an OTR. I really appreciate the discussions regarding different assessments, the pros and cons, and also who / when to use them most appropriately. This podcast was very informative and you both did such a great job explaining approaches and techniques. Is there a list available of the assessments discussed in this episode available?

Thank you again for all that you do! #teamOT

Please, please more podcasts like this 🙂

  3. Thank you!! Love the podcast. Keep up the great work. Also, does the learning lab have great resources regarding pain management? I am thinking about joining learning lab and was also wondering if you find this to be an under research aspect of OT.

Yes the Learning Lab does have some resources on pain management! But, if there is something specifically or additionally that you are looking for, it is my job to help you find it 🙂 That is what makes the Learning Lab unique. I do think that pain management is an area that OT is absolutely under utilized in. By focusing on a biopsychosocial approach with lifestyle redesign, we can be vital in this process. There is growing evidence, but not enough research on this topic in regards to OT’s role.

  4. Hi Mandy. I’m an OT from Brazil and I’ve been following seniorsflourish from here 🙂 Thanks for the podcast! Could you send me the list of the assessments discussed in this episode too?
